IRA INAISHVILI'S HOUSE IN BATUMI

Interieri Magazine

This Batumi house was built in 1904, it is my grandfather’s house, which is now
included in the list of monuments. I did a conservation of the house, not a restoration.
We have not changed the hallway at all, the color of the living room is as close as
possible to the color I remember from my childhood.

The fireplace and furniture were mostly made by my father, and my grandfather worked on this typewriter, he researched oncology. This house holds many stories. Often even strangers come to visit.

First I studied in Tbilisi, then in Moscow, there was always the temptation to start
working elsewhere. If it wasn’t for this house, it probably would have happened. This is
my home.
