Our works always express our own character and attitude toward the environment. When working on any project, the space itself dictates how and in which direction the working process will develop.
My first profession is business management, specifically in the banking sector. I first became interested in interior design seven years ago when I had to renovate a newly purchased apartment myself. The process captivated me, and as they say, I got hooked on this profession. The apartment, which we later rented out, garnered significant attention. People were curious about who the designer was, who planned it, and so on.
This house located on Mtatsminda is a place with a historical significance, as Ilia Chavchavadze himself lived here in 1885-1888 and the editorial office of “Iveria” was located on the first floor. Given the antiquity of the space, it turned out to be quite difficult to make significant changes during the project. The living space consists of two apartments.
In the stillness of a minimalist space, the line between the physical and the metaphysical softens, and the emptiness of the room, far from being mere absence, becomes a presence—a quiet force that shapes and guides our perception.
From the beginning, we wanted to choose a place nestled in greenery with a unique view for building the house. We were lucky to find just that. The house's architectural planning was based on my ideas. I knew exactly how I wanted the house to look, both in terms of visuals and the interior space layout.
