THE HOUSE THAT RESEMBLES THE OWNER - KETEVAN IGNATOVA ABOUT THE HISTORY AND INTERIOR OF THE HOUSE

Interieri Magazine

It probably won’t surprise you, if I say that every house resembles its owner. And so is
this house, my father’s, painter Koka Ignatov’s house. Thus, the entire interior of the
house is built around his paintings.

When I became the housewife of the house, I brought my feminine hue to this space. All items remind me of the specific people and have different stories. There is nothing that I have bought- solely inherited.

Home is the largest part of a person and always reflects what one represents. The
biggest mistake is trying to reflect the false impression into the interior. The house
doesn’t excuse dishonesty. The house won’t let itself be fooled. It is possible to live
thriftily but still be able to create a comfortable, aesthetical environment.

I believe that the history and life of our family is easily visible in this house. I already
have grandchildren, they come here, play, they love it here. Time flies, generations
change, but this house will always belong to Koka.
